4 Week Cabinet Making Course for Beginners

During this intensive four week course, the experts at Cocraft will guide you through all the basics of cabinetmaking needed to tackle your DIY projects at home.

This course is designed for beginners or people with little or no woodworking knowledge or experience.

What you will learn

  • Cabinetmaking overview, terms, concepts, and fundamentals

  • How to plan, measure, and cut panels accurately to size

  • How to build a cabinet and drawer using glue, a brad nail gun, screws, and clamps

  • How to use a trim router, orbital sander, and drills

  • How to install soft-close drawer runners

  • How to install soft-close cabinet hinges and doors

  • How to prepare, paint, and finish MDF, plywood, and solid timber

What you will get

At the end of the course, you will each take home a cool bedside cabinet with a solid timber top and soft-close drawer, all painted in your own colour selection, and a storage box with a soft-close door. You will go home with the confidence to tackle your future DIY cabinetmaking jobs!

Who is this course for

Beginners or people with little or no woodworking knowledge or experience. Anyone 16 years of age or over - curiosity and enthusiasm is more important than knowledge to us!

What do you wear to classes?

Please wear covered shoes (no thongs!) and some clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit dusty and dirty. If you have long hair, please tie it up for safety.
